Rebecca Antczak

Board Member, Chair

Rebecca Antczak was the Director of Annual Programs at Merion Mercy Academy in Merion Station, PA.  Previously, Rebecca was the Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Holy Child Academy in Drexel Hill.  Between these two roles, Rebecca has a total of over 10 years of experience in fundraising.  “I hope to use my experience in nonprofit fundraising to help the PBGC raise even more funding for the organization.”  Prior to working in development, Rebecca was an associate at the law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath, where she practiced commercial litigation.

Rebecca is the mother of a member of the girls choir.  Her daughter has been a member of the organization since 2015.

Rebecca joined the board in 2020.

Marlene Bollar

Board Member, Secretary

Marlene Bollar has been a leader in philanthropy and community service for two decades.  Marlene currently serves as President of the Lenape Regional High School, Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).  Prior to her time with Lenape, Marlene served as PTO Vice President – Fundraising for Mount Laurel Springville Elementary School. Marlene was able to utilize her past experience to revamp the PTO fundraising platform, breaking all previous fundraising records. Marlene is also an active volunteer with the Alice Paul Institute, an organization dedicated to development of leadership skills in young girls.  Marlene served as Human Resources Manager for BASF before leaving the workplace to raise her family.

Marlene Bollar has worked for many years fundraising for the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale.  Marlene has served as the Chair/Co-Chair of the Silent Auction for the past four years.  Marlene brings extensive experience in fundraising, communications, and marketing.  She has a great passion for the arts, women’s rights, and education.  Marlene is the proud parent of three children – an alumni of the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale and two young women who are active with the Philadelphia Girls Choir.

Phillip Brown

Board Member

Phillip Sean Brown is currently the Director of Theater at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. Before starting his acting studio, The Ambler Actors Studio, just outside of Philadelphia, he worked for Disney Original Programming. He was the Acting/dialogue coach and ‘punch-up’ writer on the hit Original Series Disney shows, ”That’s So Raven ” and “Cory in the House”. His personal students included Rayvon Simone, Kyle Massey, David Henrie, Jason Dolly, and many other actors of hit Disney shows. Phillip wrote and co-created the hit Hip-Hop musical, “The Last Jimmy” with Dice Raw from the Legendary Roots Crew, “Box” which is the narrative of Henry Box Brown, about a slave who mailed himself from Virginia to freedom in Philadelphia. Phillip has optioned screenplays in Hollywood and was co-creator and head writer for a live Interactive Entertainment News/Music Video show for the Black Entertainment Network (BET) entitled AM@BET in 2000 – which was BET’s first full live one-hour TV show. Most recently, Phillip has launched his original content creation production company, Sling & Sone Productions.

Phillip attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where he studied Theater Arts, and he received his Bachelor of Science, with Honors, in Business Administration and Leadership from Rosemont College. Phillip is also a graduate of Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, PA.

Jack Ebenreiter

Board Member

Jack has spent the past 20+ years working in institutional investment management primarily responsible for marketing and business development.  He currently serves as Senior Vice President at Federated Hermes, a global money manager headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA.

Jack is an alumnus (1987) and past president of the boys choir.  Since graduating from the choir, Jack has sung 15 seasons as a member of the chorale.  His son, Max, has been a member of the boys choir since 2017.  Sharing the choir experience both home and abroad with Max has been Jack’s most rewarding time with the organization.  He looks forward to supporting the Philadelphia Boys and Girls Choirs for years to come.

Jack earned a BS in business administration from Rowan University and is a CFA charterholder.  He has served as a board member for the Association of Investment Management Sales Executives (AIMSE).

Charles M. Elliott, Jr.

Board Member

Mr. Elliott is a relationship officer and Deputy Team Leader in BNY Mellon Treasury Services’ Corporate Sales group, responsible for delivering treasury solutions to the large corporate marketplace in the northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.  Since 1992, Charles has held a number of varied positions within Treasury Services’ Sales and Operations.  Prior to joining the organization, he was employed at Maryland National Bank in Baltimore, Maryland.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Towson University and his master of business administration from the University of Baltimore, part of the University of Maryland system.

A member of the Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale singing Bass from 2008 – 2014 when he went on hiatus, Charles currently sings with the Wayne Oratorio Society in Wayne, PA, and has continued his legacy with PBCC through his children, Charlie (PBCC Alumni), Jacob (PBCC Alumni) and Eliza. Married to Amy Barnes Elliott, a Foreign Languages educator in the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District, they  reside in Malvern, PA.

Brian Garvin

Board Member, Treasurer

Brian is an Assurance Partner at PwC within their Private Company Services (“PCS”) Group. He specializes working with privately held companies across various industries. Brian has over 15 years’ experience working in public accounting. Throughout his career at PwC, Brian has held several leadership roles within the PwC Philadelphia PCS practice which have included supporting technical accounting and audit methodology, expansion of shared service center utilization and the advancement of digital audit technologies. He is a certified public accountant and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University. He lives in South Philadelphia with his wife Alexis and their twin children Rory and Paige. Brian joined the Board in 2019.

Paul Mainardi

Board Member, Past Chair

A performing member of the Chorale since the 1990s, Mr. Mainardi is an attorney and partner with law firm of Brown & Connery, LLP. A graduate of Brown University, he earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law. Although his law practice is focused in the areas of business transactions and litigation, Mainardi has also represented non-profit organizations. Mr. Mainardi is also a founding Trustee of The Tyler Clementi Foundation and helped in forming The Tyler Clementi Center at Rutgers University.

Prior to being elected Chair, Paul served as the PBCC board’s Treasurer and chair of the Governance Committee.  “The Boys Choir is a Philadelphia treasure and I look forward to helping the organization continue to grow and succeed as we move toward our 50th anniversary.”

Edmund Moore, Jr.

Board Member, Past Chair

A native of Ambler, PA currently living in Lower Gwynedd, Montgomery County, Ned went to La Salle College High School and then college at Villanova University. A life-long entrepreneur in a wide array of business sectors who has founded and grown several companies, Ned is the Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Clutch, which provides an advanced Customer Management Platform for B2C businesses to drive higher value from their existing customers. Over his career he has raised over $50MM in venture capital and has grown companies from zero to over 250+ employees.  Under Ned’s leadership Clutch was named Technology Startup of the Year in 2014 and Portico was named Emerging Technology Company of the Year in 2008 by the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technology (PACT). He was recognized as the 2008 Technology CEO of the Year and as a finalist for the 2015 Technology CEO of the Year and honored with the Philadelphia Business Journal 2007 40 under 40 Award. He also serves as an Advisory Council Member to Villanova’s Center for Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship.

A member of the PBCC from 1979-82, Ned is passionate about PBCC and the tremendous impact it had on his life. 

Lisa Paris

Board Member

Lisa Paris is a partner with Tangerine Strategies – a consultancy focused on growth strategy development and execution, new product development, and product launch implementation. Previously, Lisa served as Chief Marketing Officer for Philadelphia-based Peirce College, overseeing marketing strategy and new student enrollment. Of British origin, Lisa is a multi-faceted marketer with experience managing domestic and global brands across a wide variety of service and product sectors for nearly three decades. A skilled strategic planner, Lisa has spearheaded multiple strategic plans and market growth strategies yielding measurable results. Lisa’s passion for excellence in creative execution has led to award winning advertising and digital marketing campaigns within the higher education industry.

Tim Sabol

Board Member, Vice Chair

Tim Sabol is a Private Wealth Advisor with Ameriprise Financial in Philadelphia, PA.  Tim and his team provide customized advice to individual clients and multi-generation families regarding investment management, risk mitigation, and complex financial planning issues.  In addition to retirees and small business owners, Tim has extensive experience with physicians and pre-IPO technology company shareholders.  Tim works with clients in 33 states and has been quoted on various financial planning topics in The Wall Street Journal (print), SmartMoney Magazine, Fox Business News, CNBC, and Entrepreneur Magazine.  Prior to working at Ameriprise Financial, Tim was with the predecessor firm, American Express.

In addition to serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of the Philadelphia Boys Choir and Philadelphia Girls Choir, Tim also serves on the Board of Directors of the Wilma Theater.  A former Drexel University Varsity Rower, Tim resides in Society Hill with his husband, Dr. Judd Flesch.

Bill Selman

Board Member

Vice President and shareholder at The Graham Company, one of the nation’s largest insurance brokers,  Bill is responsible for business development with a focus on larger privately-held manufacturers and distributors.  Prior to joining The Graham Company, he spent 20 years with Mobil Oil. A retired member of the Army Reserves, Bill graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree and has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from George Mason University. A frequently sought-after author and speaker on key issues facing his clients, including Contractual Risk Transfer, Environmental Liability and Captive Insurance Alternatives, he continues to serve as a liaison to West Point’s Admissions Office.

Selman’s involvement with PBCC comes directly from the heart: “I hope to help the organization expand its reach to a broader community and give more kids the opportunity to be part of something very special – something that can open horizons and change young lives.”

Megan Stalker

Board Member

Megan is currently managing Penn Medicine’s Passport and Executive Health Programs.  She brings her energy, talent for building relationships, and ability to think strategically to these personalized programs where patients are looking for an optimal experience to navigate their health care needs. Prior to Penn Medicine, Megan was Director of Institutional Advancement for seven years at Center School and Director of Development for Special People in Northeast, Inc. for nearly twenty years. 

In addition to Megan’s work experience, she has served and held roles as a leader and volunteer in various business, professional, and social organizations in Philadelphia.

Megan is most proud of her son who joined the Boys Choir in 2022 as an advanced cadet.  In just a few short months, he was promoted to the performing choir. He has gained invaluable cultural experiences by performing at various venues and traveling on his first tour.  

​Megan also has a history of song and love for the arts. She spent her childhood singing and studying show tunes and jazz vocals. She performed in high school productions, summer theater and with local community groups.

Ann Tiao

Board Member

Dr. Ann Tiao has dedicated the majority of her current career in higher education to increasing access, promoting diversity, and building inclusive spaces with a specific emphasis on graduation education, systems, and assessment. She is currently the Assistant Dean for Student Services in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn GSE) where she has also taught for almost two decades. In her capacity as the leading advocate in the school for student success, she works to help students achieve academic success, foster student engagement, promote student wellness, and build systems to ensure the long-term support of student needs.

Dr. Tiao has worked in numerous fields including high tech, engineering, statistics, and higher education, typically focusing on building new teams, programs, or systems utilizing data driven research to foster continuing improvement. She has degrees from Kansas State University, Texas A&M University, and the University of Pennsylvania and has received multiple awards for mentoring and service. She has a long record of service at the university, community, and national levels.

Dr. Tiao also has been in involved in music her entire life playing the violin, viola, and the piano from an early age. She has multiple awards for music performance and received a music scholarship for college. Her son continues that tradition and has been with the Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale for more than 6 years and has sung with Opera Philadelphia and the Curtis Institute. Dr. Tiao currently resides in Philadelphia with her family.
