The Philadelphia Girls Choir is looking for singers who have musical and vocal potential, not necessarily a polished performance. Auditions are for students in grades 1 through 5 for our young and intermediate ensembles. Once accepted into the program, singers can potentially remain in the Philadelphia Girls Choir through 12th grade.
Currently, all rehearsals are being held via Zoom, as we prepare for an upcoming virtual concert. To see some of the Philadelphia Girls Choir’s recent virtual performances, click here.
This initial audition process is very low-key. No musical training or preparation is necessary. Everyone auditioning from your school will be in the Zoom session together, and each singer will be asked to sing a simple song that she knows (any song is fine) and repeat some simple singing exercises. Within two weeks after the audition, we will contact each parent by e-mail to let you know if your child can proceed to a final individual callback audition. For FAQ’s and information about the final callback audition, click here.
There is a fee for students who enter the program, and financial aid is available to everyone who qualifies.
